I’ve been thinking a lot about how much inner work I’ve done over the years. Therapy. Healing modalities. Self-reflection. Spiritual frameworks. Enough that I know myself pretty well. Enough that I can usually explain why I feel the way I feel.
And yet, lately, I’ve felt strangely stagnant.
Not confused. Not lost. Just… still.
For a while, I assumed that meant I needed to heal more, learn more, understand more. That there was something unfinished I hadn’t uncovered yet. But the more honest truth is this: I already know what I want to change. I know what direction feels more alive. I just haven’t been moving.
I don’t think that means I’m broken. And I don’t think it means I’m avoiding growth.
I think I’m living in a quiet in-between space where insight has already landed, but embodiment hasn’t caught up yet. A place where I know what the next step is, but keep choosing what’s familiar because it’s easier, safer, or less demanding.
This isn’t a dramatic place to be. It’s not a crisis. And that’s part of why it’s been easy for me to stay here.
So instead of trying to motivate myself or fix anything, I’m trying something simpler. I’m pausing each day to notice the exact moment where I make a choice, the moment where I either move forward or stay comfortable.
That’s what this series is for me.
It’s not a healing program. It’s not a reset. It’s definitely not a glow-up challenge. I’m not trying to reinvent myself in 14 days. I’m just paying attention to something I’ve been glossing over.
For the next two weeks, I’ll share one reflection and one prompt each day. No assignments. No pressure to do anything with it. Just something I can come back to and sit with.
Today, what I’m noticing is how often I already know what the next step is. Send the message. Leave the house. Say no. Say yes. Start the thing. Stop the thing.
And how often I don’t do it, not because I can’t, but because comfort quietly wins.
I’m not judging that. I’m just finally willing to look at it.
Today’s prompt:
Where do I already know what the next step is — but keep choosing comfort instead?
That’s all for today. I’m starting exactly where I am.
